Plan A Family Vacation To Spain

If you are looking for a place to fly away on holiday with your family, why not consider Spain to visit next? It’s a country of rich heritage and the beauty you will find here is phenomenal. Best of all, Spain is a great place for a vacation when you have kids.

Holidays with kids should be fun and educational. Spain is just such a place. Your kids will have plenty to keep them busy and can learn about a new culture and perhaps even pick up a bit of Spanish!

How To Get To Spain?
Getting to Spain is easier than ever. Package deals are everywhere and Spain has 25 International airports to choose from, making it easy to land super close to whatever part of the country you might be considering for your break.

When you search holidays to Spain you can get the inside scoop on everything you need to know about Spain. Currency, climate, things to do, how to get around and local events are all easy to find. Knowing where to start your planning is half the trick!

An Easy Vacation Spot For You And Your Family
Some fun things to do with your kids on a Spanish holiday include:

  • Horse riding – The Spanish people have a long tradition of equestrian events. If you have a horse-lover in your midst they will be in heaven!
  • There are loads of water parks in Spain so if your kids are keen for some water action you are in luck!
  • If natural attractions are more your family’s style Spain has everything you could ever want. From volcanoes to magnificent beaches, there’s so much here for you to explore you won’t even know where to start.
  • All the adventure activities are here in Spain as well. White water rafting, kayaking and various other water sports will keep your adrenaline junkies happy while you lie on the beach reading your book.
  • Sample Spanish food. This really should have been our first point because isn’t that a major reason why anyone would come to Spain? Tapas and Paella should be top of your list of local specialties to try. Perhaps round out your testing with some local wine!
Which Part Of Spain Should You Visit?
Spain has a tonne of options and you’ll probably have trouble choosing exactly where you want to go. If this is a problem for you why not consider Island hopping on your vacation? Get out a map and get the kids to join in the choice of which islands to visit. You could choose the Canary Islands or the Balearic Islands to make yourself at home. Long days of gorgeous sunshine await you no matter which you choose!

Your next Spanish holiday will be fun and easy (especially if you’re lucky enough to live close by in someplace like the UK). If you’re that close you won’t even have jet lag as it’s practically in the same time zone! I’m a bit jealous!

Have you been to Spain? What do you think the best thing is to do there with kids?

  1. We traveled to Barcelona when my son was 6 months old and to Madrid when he was 9.5 months old. I think Barcelona is better suited to kids. Sagrada Familia is a visually interesting site for kids - and a good way to introduce art. And since you are on the coast, you have the beach option.

    1. I agree! I personally preferred Barcelona to Madrid anyway for lots of reasons!
