The Perhentian Islands is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The thing that I love most about them is the reef and it's proximity to the beach. It starts in shin deep water making it not only possible but very easy for even a toddler to be able to swim out and enjoy the beautiful underwater world.
I do not have the greatest underwater camera but I was able to take a few cool shots while snorkeling there. The water clarity is not as good in April as the rains have just stopped but, well, let me know what you think.

These damselfish were super agresive, chasing us and while diving even nipping on our instructors legs! |

I took about a hundred picks of these angelfish, they were so beautiful. But deeper down so hard to get a good pic! |

Saved the best for last! Clowfish are our favorite! |
Would you snorkel out here on this amazing reef?
Where's the part about you having to take your mask off? :D
ReplyDeleteOh I am getting to that post, no worries! This was just snorkeling:)
DeleteThanks! The scuba sure was an adventure, writing tat post now!
ReplyDeleteHello:
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I have not been out to the western Pacific since my Navy days. I think it is the best diving in the world; forget the Caribbean. Plus, it is less crowded and less expensive to dive or snorkel. I am jealous. I want to some day head back that way. Take care.
Absolutely! Much cheaper which always makes it a bit more fun!
DeleteWe love the Perhentians. We went there this year and last year and I think it's our favorite beach destination. Hawaii is a close second though! Nice shots Mary!
