We spent a week in Siem Reap, Cambodia. 3 days of which we spent in the Angkor complex. We met many people at varying points of their magical journey to Angkor. One question that came up often was, "is the sunrise trip really worth it?"

Pretty amazing once the sun is up, but is it worth it to actually watch it come up?

As a wannabe photographer, heading out to see the sunrise was a no brainer. But I have to admit the night owl in me had me wondering the same question. We had to get up around 4:30am, get in a tuk tuk at 5am, and take a chilly ride to the entrance. But what we gained in return was nothing short of breathtaking!

So the short answer is YES. It is most definitely worth it, but don't take my word for it...I'll let the pictures show you!
