Great US Road Trips

Great Britain seems to love the US. As much as you try to deny it, this power nation has provided us with some great things; Disney World, McDonalds, Friends, stunning natural beauty… the list is endless! So what we’re asking is why don’t you experience it for yourself? To just take the car, a couple of friends and the hit the road. Don’t know where to start?

For starters if you are coming from anyplace in Europe you'll want to secure your visa, I suggest doing it online via a visum usa-ESTA, much easier that way (we did one for Australia and it was so simple and fast).  Once that is all set grab your passport and pack a case! Here are some ideas for great USA road trips.

Colorado

Considered as one of America’s most beautiful states, Colorado is the perfect road trip destination. First of all, it’s incredibly picturesque. Here, you won’t be stuck for sites to photograph, as Colorado provides you with a plethora of spectacular landscapes, the Dinosaur National Monument and Glenwood Canyon just to name a few. Consisting of a twenty-four mile stretch, the best route to take on this road trip is along the Million Dollar Highway. Crossing the Uncompahgre Gorge and taking you to the dizzy heights of Red Mountain Pass, you’ll witness rural America at its finest.

California

California has it all. With the glamour of Hollywood on the one hand and the luxury of its sun soaked beaches on the other, this state certainly has its appeal. Although if you were going to take to the Californian roads, then the route which we would recommend would have to be that which takes you through ‘the Big Sur.’ A famously popular destination for road-trip enthusiasts, we can guarantee that the Big Sur will take your breath away with its unparalleled beauty. With numerous park trials and beaches for you to explore, you’ll soon discover why this state is a favorite with tourists.

Alaska

If snow-capped scenery is more your style, then Alaska could be the road-trip for you. Taking you one hundred and twenty-seven miles across the state, there’s plenty of opportunity for you to see what this gorgeous destination has to offer. Travelling through the Kenai Peninsula, we suggest that you opt for the Seward Highway as this is the best means of really appreciating what this natural wonder has to give. From stunning wildlife to awe-inspiring glaciers, a trip to Alaska will be one like you’ve never experienced before, but you’ll definitely want to return!

As you can see there is no end to the amazing beauty in the US.  Whether you enjoy beaches or mountains, cold weather or warm, there is a perfect road trip out there just calling your name.  So what are you waiting for??
